Carlos Club

612 El Camino Real
San Carlos, CA

Originally built in 1922, and renovated in 1947 into an excellent example of the Art Moderne style employed in commercial buildings.

The complete rehabilitation and restoration included partial new foundations and seismic upgrades; complete ADA accessibility requirements; and new plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. The unusual Caarrara glass panels and distinctive neon sign originally built by Coast Neon, were restored to their unique visual design.

At the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce's Annual Recognition Gala on January 21st, 2009, the Carlos Club tied for first place in the 2008 Business Beautification Awards competition.
